    Making Freshers Fly
How L&T handholds freshers in their campus-to-corporate transition

Freshers come with rich academic knowledge and boundless energy to embark on the metamorphosis of  professional  journey.  This transition from campus to corporate can sometimes be overwhelming and this is where training plays a major role in bridging the gap between campus and the corporate world.

As many as 665-odd L&T freshers began their journey in July with an all- encompassing training programme hosted by the Corporate Technology & Engineering Academy (CTEA) at Mysore in Karnataka

The  training  was focused on  holistic development, adopting a   comprehensive approach that encompasses various aspects of an  employee’s professional  growth and well-being.

They were familiarised with the L&T culture, and various techniques such as concrete technology, engineering drawing, formwork & scaffolding, prestressing, precast, wastewater management, fabrication & welding, plant & machinery, etc.

Alongside the classroom sessions, the trainers emphasised on hands-on training and site visits wherein the newly inducted GETs were able to acquire necessary skills and knowledge required to excel in real-world scenario.

For the structural engineers from L&T Energy Hydrocarbon (LTEH) vertical, CTEA Mysore crafted a comprehensive in-house offshore technical competency development. The five-module programme has been tailored to address the specific needs of LTEH, with the training being a blend of theoretical and real-world knowledge.

During the training, the participants were able to design the concepts-to-commissioning of fixed and floating offshore structures.
