L&T's high safety standards were recognised by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, UK>
For maintaining high safety standards on specific projects, several L&T verticals have been conferred awards for 2024 by the prestigious Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) UK. RoSPA Gold Awards were conferred on 20 projects being undertaken by various L&T verticals, acknowledging a very high level of performance, demonstrating well developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss. Gold Medal Awards were presented to L&T Construction - Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) CTP-14 for having received five consecutive Gold Awards, and to L&T’s Transportation Infrastructure vertical for the WDFC Phase-II Electrical & Mechanical Package 16 for having received six consecutive Gold Awards. RoSPA Silver Awards were conferred on 14 projects being undertaken by various L&T businesses, for having achieved a high level of performance underpinned by good management systems which are delivering consistent improvement and are working towards the level of excellence required for a Gold Award. RoSPA recognition has become a key factor in the international health & safety arena. Key areas of evaluation include significant continual improvement achieved during the review period, top management’s commitment, effective implementation of EHS management systems, risk assessment, EHS performance monitoring, and occupational health, safety and well--being objectives.
