LTTS’ engineering R&D services powering global mobility giants
LTTS has entered a strategic partnership with the French global automotive supplier FORVIA for engineering development activities in Clean Mobility, with a focus on ultra-low emissions engineering. The deal is valued at approximately €45 million (approximately USD 50 million).
Under this five-year agreement, about 300 engineers from FORVIA’s sites in Augsburg (Germany) and Bengaluru (India) have transitioned to LTTS. These teams will continue their work on internal combustion engine-related engineering activities, ensuring uninterrupted collaboration and robust support for FORVIA’s Digital Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) initiatives.
LTTS will train and reskill these engineers through its Global Engineering Academy. The engineers will be repositioned to various fields within LTTS’ extensive commercial network, enriching their expertise and career prospects.
Aiding Airbus
At its leading-edge campus in Bengaluru, LTTS runs a Simulation Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Airbus. The state-of-the-art facility helps enhance engineering support for Airbus’ structural simulation activities, unifying and standardising processes across its European business units and aircraft programmes.
Equipped with the latest simulation software, hardware and high-performance computational systems, the CoE’s key aim is to boost efficiency and productivity, ensuring timely achievement of critical programme milestones. The CoE has demonstrated significant progress and development since inauguration 18 months ago.
Reflecting its deep commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in aerospace engineering and highlighting the dedication to advancing the industry through sustained development and expertise, LTTS has plans to scale it up substantially over the next two years.
