L&T’s Management Development Programme completes 100th batch
L&T fosters a culture of nurturing in- house talent by extending training and development opportunities to employees to enable them navigate the business challenges of today and tomorrow.
L&T’s flagship training course – the Management Development Programme (MDP) in Individual Excellence, conducted in association with XLRI, Jamshedpur – has reached a milestone: it completed the 100th batch in May.
The six-day in-person programme, which kicked off on 6 May, was hosted at L&T’s Leadership Development Academy (LDA) in Lonavala. The batch comprised 60 employees from L&T business verticals from across India.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Mr Rajiv Misra (Professor – XLRI) and Mr M V N Rao (Head – Corporate Learning & Development, L&T). The keynote conversation, an enriching experience for the audience, focused on the MDP’s journey, collaboration, striving towards excellence and its ever-evolving traits.
In a subsequent session during the course-week, Mr Arun Ramchandani (EVP & Head – L&T Precision Equipment & Systems) enlightened the participants on continuous learning, reinventing oneself, customer focus, digital technology and being entrepreneurial in mindset.
The batch concluded on 11 May, with Dr M G Jomon (Programme Director – XLRI) and Cdr (R) Amit Sharma (Head, Administration – LDA) congratulating the participants.
MDP covers general management and functional topics, providing fresh perspectives on Project Management, Finance, B2B Marketing, Personal Mastery and Leadership, Contract Management and Leading Digital in a globally sustainable business environment.
The first batch of MDP was conducted in 2006. Through the years, 3,000- odd employees have availed of it. L&T has always elicited excellence from those who have had the privilege of being nominated for this prestigious programme.
