On September 7, 2017, L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering CEO & MD Mr. Subramanian Sarma visited the onshore construction site of Hasbah – II project to take stock of the progress made on the construction activities.
Hasbah – II is the first project awarded to LTHE by Saudi Aramco under the Long Term Agreement. Under the scope of the project LTHE is expected to set up offshore facilities including two streams of three wellhead platform topsides, one tie-in platform with flare platforms and bridges tied together by 20 km umbilicals and 25 km long in-field pipelines along with two 36” trunk lines to transport produced gas from offshore to Fadhili Gas Plant. The onshore facilities like beach valve station, sectionalizing valve station, four scraper traps and laying of 35 km of fiber optic cable will also be installed as part of the contract.
During his visit, Mr. Sarma interacted with the project team and also with the crew involved in carrying out automatic welding and internal coating using robotic technique. Subsequently, Mr. Sarma interacted with site representatives of Saudi Aramco who appeared pleased with LTHE’s performance.
Mr. Sarma appreciated the efforts of the project team in ensuring that construction activities progressed ahead of schedule and encouraged the members to continue working with similar zeal and enthusiasm throughout the rest of the project.
