L&T's participation in India Energy Week 2025 affirms its focus on powering brighter tomorrows

Several L&T entities involved with the energy sector attended the India Energy Week (IEW 2025) held in February in New Delhi. They include L&T Energy Hydrocarbon (LTEH), CarbonLite Solutions and GreenTech, along with L&T Heavy Engineering, L&T Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D), L&T Construction and L&T Valves.

IEW 2025 served as a crucial platform for fostering innovation and collaboration in the global energy sector. The event was hosted under the patronage of the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, India and was inaugurated virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri, as well as other senior dignitaries, attended in person.

The L&T businesses showcased their diverse product portfolio, marquee projects, and milestone accomplishments. LTEH demonstrated commitment to cleaner energy and sustainability by exhibiting offshore wind business model, including HVDC and HVAC substations, floater, jack with suction pile and monopile, and a transition piece.

L&T Energy GreenTech and L&T Electrolyser Ltd highlighted electrolyser stack model; while L&T Valves displayed their cryogenic range designed for LNG and hydrogen projects.

The event was attended by a galaxy of L&T’s senior leaders: Subramanian Sarma (Whole-time Director & President – Energy, L&T), Nandakumar Kulkarni (EVP & Head – LTEH Onshore Petrochemicals & Fertilisers), Falgun Chokshi (EVP - Process Plant & Nuclear Equipment, Heavy Engineering), Derek Shah (Sr VP & Head – GreenTech), Shirish Dalal (VP & Head – LTEH AdVENT), Anupam Ghosal (VP & Head – Modification Revamp Upgrade & Special Fabrication Unit, Heavy Engineering), Siddharth Gupta (Chief Executive – L&T Electrolysers Ltd) and Suman Bakshi (Head – Corporate Centre & Domestic Marketing – Heavy Engineering).

During the panel discussion on ‘The Future of US-India Energy Partnership – IEA 2025’, which included Union Minister Mr Puri, Mr Sarma underscored the role of natural gas as a crucial bridging fuel in energy transition and highlighted the advantages of modular fabrication in reducing costs, mitigating schedule risks and enhancing efficiency.

He also explained how modular fabrication solutions can facilitate LNG plant expansion in India and position the country as an energy export hub. He also spoke about the opportunities in electrolyser manufacturing, underscoring the benefits of indigenous technology, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Furthering L&T’s thought leadership at the event, Mr Gupta participated in the panel discussion titled ‘Make in India: Developing India’s Global Role as a Green Manufacturing Powerhouse’.

IEW 2025 provided an invaluable opportunity to engage with global industry leaders, explore new developments in the energy landscape, and showcase its capabilities in driving India’s clean energy transition.
