Twin LTTS events give boost to innovative minds
In May, the L&T Technology Services(LTTS) organised India’s largest engineering hackathon, TECHgium® 2024. The event brought together over 36,765 students from 503 renowned engineering institutes across the country, all vying to present their innovative concepts in the fields of mobility, sustainability and hi-tech.
Held at LTTS Bengaluru campus, TECHgium® 2024 received an impressive 4,426 concept submissions. The winners took home cash prizes totalling more than Rs 18 lakh.
The audience was thrilled to have in their midst Dr Tessy Thomas – affectionately known as the Missile Woman of India for her pivotal role in the AGNI missile project. As the chief guest, she delivered an inspiring keynote address that left a lasting impression.
Initiated in 2016, TECHgium® has quickly become the most sought-after platform for academia-industry collaboration in engineering innovation. The competition continues to champion innovation and nurture talent, strengthening the vital link between academic learning and practical industry applications.
Tech Panorama
LTTS hosted Tech Panorama, an annual event that provides a platform to its employees to share innovative ideas, network with peers, and demonstrate skills. This year, the event featured Proof of Concept (PoC) demonstrations, technical paper presentations and more.
The finalists from the ‘Tech Expression’ and ‘The Advent of AI Hackathon’ programmes presented their concepts. Their engaging demos were a display of ingenuity and a celebration of LTTS’ collective pursuit of excellence.
The event also celebrated FY24 Inventor’s League and winners of Reveries (an initiative to transform realistic and pragmatic dreams of LTTS employees into reality). Hyperscaler partners who supported the company’s innovation programmes were feted.
