Hyderabad Metro and its leadership shine at prestigious fora
The MD & CEO of L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Ltd, Mr K V B Reddy, was a panellist at the fourth InnoMetro held at New Delhi on 21-22 May. Presented by Metro Rail News, InnoMetro is a global conference showcasing innovations in the metro, railway and allied sectors.
Mr Reddy participated in the panel discussion on “Pioneering Low-Carbon Solutions in India’s Metro and Railway Sector” and shared his insights alongside other esteemed speakers, i.e. Mr Loknath Behera (MD – Kochi Metro Rail Ltd), Mr Sibi Chakkravarthy M (MD – Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd) and Mr Sudhendu J Sinha (Adviser – Infrastructure Connectivity, Transport & Electric Mobility, NITI Aayog).
L&TMRHL’s COO, Mr Sudhir Chiplunkar, also attended the event, affirming the company’s commitment to the metro sector.
Addressing key issues on balancing affordability with environmental responsibility, Mr Reddy highlighted L&TMRHL’s ongoing green initiatives, including use of renewable energy, rainwater harvesting, regenerative braking and green construction practices.
AWARDS
L&TMRHL earned two prestigious recognitions at the 10th Telangana Facility Management Council annual summit. It won the awards for:
- Best Urban Mobility Transformation of the Decade
- Best Greening the Future Award 2023-24
Held in Hyderabad on 17 May, the theme of the summit was ‘Decade of Dazzle’. The honour highlights L&TMRHL’s commitment to transforming urban mobility and promoting sustainable practices.
