L&T speeds up Zuluf Offshore project in Saudi Arabia

L&T Energy Hydrocarbon (LTEH) has made significant progress in the Zuluf Offshore Water Injection facilities project in Saudia Arabia by delivering two critical pipeline distribution manifolds. These key components set sail from L&T’s Modular Fabrication Yard in Sohar, Oman.

The project encompasses a vast scope, including: 3 transition pieces, 16 water- injection pipeline distribution manifolds, 13 umbilicals, 14 SSVs, 60.4 km of 15 kV power cable, 11.5 km flexible pipeline, and 105 km rigid pipeline. The project is scheduled for completion by 25 October, as scheduled.

In January, LTEH also undertook the zero-punch point sail-away of the ZTPW-1 Jacket, a crucial structure for the project. One of the largest water injection jackets in Saudi waters, this six-legged jacket weighs ~2000 metric tonne, and is ~38 metres high. It has three 42” risers, two 48” risers and one 16” riser.

This marks a key step in the installation and connection of the water trunkline from the Zuluf Central Processing Facilities and the corridor spools. The sail-away was seamless, thanks to the collaborative teams of the Project, the Yard and ARAMCO.

These achievements reaffirm LTEH’s commitment to and expertise in delivering world-class offshore solutions, strengthening its image as an entity that delivers cutting-edge energy infrastructure.
