L&T's project management programmes help the Company excel
Great projects are driven by stellar project management skills. To create a pipeline of global project management professionals, Larsen & Toubro set up a world-class project management education centre – the L&T Institute of Project Management (L&T IPM).
L&T IPM holds several training programmes. Its flagship programme, Pragati, is a Project Leadership Development Programme (PLDP) focusing on the comprehensive development of project leaders who can handle mega projects and mega portfolios.
Flagship Programme Convocation
The first batch of participants of the Pragati International Executive Master’s in Business with Specialisation in Project Management (IEMB-PM) were awarded their credentials at a glittering convocation ceremony on 8 February at SDA Bocconi Asia Centre, Mumbai. It included addresses by senior executives, the L&T IPM Dean, programme heads and key stakeholders. The course had been delivered in collaboration with the SDA Bocconi School of Management, Milan, Italy – which holds the 6th global ranking in custom education, as per the Financial Times’ Business School Rankings 2024.

Two batches of the IEMB-PM programme for L&T’s professionals are in progress. Batch 4 will soon be announced, and is scheduled to commence this May.
Inauguration: International Project Leadership Programme (IPLM)
To strengthen the competencies of future Project Directors, L&T-IPM partnered with University of Texas, Austin, USA to jointly deliver the fifth IPLM for its Tier-3 professionals. This will help create a pipeline of project leadership talent to effectively manage international projects, sail through VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity) environments and meet or exceed expectation on mega-project performance. The focus areas are Protecting Profitability, De-risking Execution, Driving Execution Efficiency, and Improving Project Delivery Performance.
L&T’s Tier-3 professionals manage mega projects or a portfolio of complex projects. As many L&T businesses undertake engineering and construction projects, L&T-IPM designs and delivers programmes in collaboration with reputed institutions.
