LTEH’s Supply Chain Synergy Summit in Saudi Arabia brings together customers and business partners from across the globe
 
To enhance collaboration and promote excellence in the supply chain domain for hydrocarbon EPC projects, L&T Energy Hydrocarbon (LTEH) hosted the two-day Offshore Konnect – Supply Chain Synergy Summit 2023  in Saudi Arabia.
 
Hosted on 23-24 May, the event was inaugurated by LTEH’s prestigious customer Saudi Aramco’s Sr VP Mr Abdulkarim A Al-Ghamdi and L&T’s Whole-time Director & Sr EVP (Energy) Mr Subramanian Sarma.
 
Offshore Konnect brought together over 250 business partners and several notable customers of LTEH from across the globe. Industry leaders, senior management, and professionals from various organisations involved in offshore EPC projects were in attendance.
 
The theme of the event was ‘The Power of Two – L&T and You’, emphasising the strong bond between L&T and all the stakeholders it works with.
 
The summit presented a unique platform for dignitaries from over 175 companies to connect, share insights, and explore new avenues for collaboration on various aspects of supply chain. It focused on collaboration to achieve cost leadership, timely delivery, quality improvements, skill development, integrating sustainable practices, optimising resources and minimising the carbon footprint.
 
Addressing the gathering, Mr Sarma highlighted the importance of connecting and engaging in successful collaboration to achieve project execution par excellence and customer delight. Mr Al-Ghamdi congratulated L&T for hosting the event and emphasised the need to enhance the use of project execution technologies, circular economy, localisation, and investments in carbon capture.
 
Mr Parthasarathi Chatterjee (EVP & Head – LTEH, Offshore), Mr R Srivatsan (EVP – Strategies, LTEH) shared some valuable insights at the various panel discussions.
 
Team Saudi Aramco and other attendees evinced much interest in the skill development infrastructure booth and the marine services booth that showcased L&T’s capabilities and futuristic initiative for projects under execution.
 
L&T is helping out-of-Kingdom suppliers to set up facilities in Saudi Arabia. As part of the conference, MoUs for setting up such facilities were signed with Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel (AM/NS), Arrow Pipes and Fittings, Goodrich Gaskets (Flosil Group) and DBMSC Steel.
 
To support Saudi Arabia’s localisation efforts and nation building projects, L&T has continuously upgraded its skill development infrastructure. L&T has offered its expertise in design, engineering, hi-tech manufacturing, fabrication, construction, and technology services to support partners in the vital areas of skill development, project management, process improvement, quality assurance, technology development and upgrade.
 
The conference ended on a high note with extensive networking sessions, meaningful workshops and summary presentations laying the way forward for a more efficient supply chain to support sustainable and profitable growth.
