Two L&T businesses facilitate a major petrochemicals conference
 
L&T Heavy Engineering and  L&T Energy Hydrocarbon participated in the Asia Petrochemicals Industry Conference (APIC) 2023 as Gold Sponsors. The two-day conference was held in New Delhi on 18-19 May.
 
APIC facilitates knowledge-sharing and serves as an excellent networking platform for global professionals interested in the Asian petrochemical industry and business. This year, APIC was hosted by Chemicals Petrochemicals Manufacturers’ Association (CPMA) and was supported by the Department of Chemical & Petrochemicals of India.
 
The august gathering included Dr Mansukh Mandaviya (Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Chemicals & Fertilizers), Mr Hardeep Singh Puri (Union Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs, Petroleum & Natural Gas), Mr Arun Baroka (Secretary – Dept of Chemicals & Petrochemicals), Mr S M Vaidya (Chairman – Indian Oil Corporation Ltd), Ms Sukla Mistry (Director – Refineries, IOCL) and other dignitaries.
 
Sessions included industry trends, projects and market outlook, challenges for the future and need for collaborative efforts to save the earth, while focusing on the opportunities for growth.
 
The L&T team utilised the opportunity to connect with owners, process licensors, consultants, EPC suppliers and other stakeholders from the chemical and petrochemical industry. Aligned to the theme of the conference, they displayed L&T’s capabilities to help the industry ‘usher in a sustainable future.'
