L&T-MHI Power Boilers Pvt Ltd (LMB), a joint venture of L&T and Mitsubishi Power Ltd, has been executing CSR projects in the vicinity of its head office at Faridabad in the National Capital Region, workshop at Hazira in Gujarat and several project sites across India.

In the latest instance, LMB has constructed a state-of-the-art OPD block at the Urban Health Centre (UHC) at Faridabad’s Sector 21D.  It consists of six doctor's rooms, a pharmacy and a pantry. The OPD block’s modern amenities will cater to an urban underprivileged population of around one lakh. LMB spent around Rs 97.8 lakh on this project.

Mr Saurabh Indwar (CE & Whole-Time Director – LMB) and Mr Shigeharu Kokuryo (COO & Whole-Time Director – LMB) ceremoniously handed over the OPD block to the hospital administration on 10 September. Dr Shashi Gandhi (Sr Medical Officer – UHC) expressed gratitude to LMB for the contribution towards this noble cause.

Augmenting the capabilities of such health centres is essential to attain the goal of good health for all. Moreover, the initiative will go a long way in fostering LMB’s relationships with the local communities residing in and around its establishment.
