Reaffirming how well L&T treats its people and business partners, L&T Construction & Mining Machinery (L&T-CMB) business took its latest annual dealer conference all the way to Dubai – the hub for trade and recreation in West Asia.
Befittingly, the conference was hosted at the Hyatt Regency-Dubai Creek Heights with L&T-CMB business heads and functionaries engaged in sales/service/spares/ dealer development in attendance. The theme of the 16 November event was ‘Success through Synergy’. During the daylong business conclave, performance of the dealers, vis-à-vis, the targets for 2019, was reviewed. The functionaries also explored the prospects of expansion of customer base and penetrating new markets.
Next, came the sweet news for the dealers ~ the announcement of incentives for promoting genuine parts. This was followed by the launch of digital initiatives such as EquipCare mobile app, a web portal, and also the release of the Maintenance Handbook and Workshop brochure.
The evening, beaming with glitz and glitter, saw Mr S N Subrahmanyan, the L&T CEO & MD, presiding over the rewards and recognition programme for the dealers who excelled in various categories of business during the year. He along with Mr Arvind K Garg, EVP and Head - L&T-CMB, presented Star Awards to the dealers who achieved ~ 3 Star/4 Star/5 Star. This was in addition to performance awards.
The evening also witnessed Long Association Awards being conferred on five dealers who have completed 20 years of association with L&T. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Subrahmanyan urged the dealers to exploit the growth opportunities arising out of the road expansion and infrastructure projects. He stressed on the need to augment the parts delivery operations so to maintain the competitive edge in the market.
Earlier on in the day, Mr Garg spoke of the new challenges that need to be met by the dealers and march ahead to the next level of preparedness. Mr M Kamizono, MD, Komatsu India Pvt Ltd attended the event along with his team.
