The first phase of the bridge across Rua de Ourem Creek, Goa, was inaugurated on December 13, 2017, by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Shri Manohar G Parrikar, in the presence of, Shri Deepak C Prabhu Pauskar, Chairman GSIDC, Shri Sidharth Kuncalienker, Vice Chairman, GSIDC, Mr. R Ranganathan – GM & Head Operations (Nuclear and Special Bridges BU, HCIC), Mr. Arvind R Nerurkar – Project Manager and project team.
The bridge is a unique structure with 4.8% longitudinal gradient and 2.5% unidirectional camber with latest construction technology. It is merely 250m away from current, third Mandovi River Cable Stay Bridge under construction. The 103 m long continuous bridge will be major entry and exit to Panjim, the capital of Goa.
