    33/11 kV 2x5 MVA Substation Commissioned for R-APDRP, Lucknow

    The people of Lucknow can now look forward to brighter tomorrows as through the R-APDRP scheme significant power infrastructure revamp is being initiated with the latest achievement being the commissioning of a 33/11 kV 2x5 MVA new substation executed by PT&D IC. The same was inaugurated by Er. Arun Pratap Singh, Managing Director-MVVNL and Er. Ashutosh Kumar, Chief Engineer, LESA-MVVNL on December 27, 2017, at Janaki Puram, Sec-I, Rahimnagar, Lucknow.
     
    The milestone was achieved in a record time of 115 days by team L&T, led by Mr. A K Srivastava, Cluster Operations Head- Lucknow and Mr. Sandeep Amin, Project In-Charge, R-APDRP, Lucknow. The client – MVVNL, specially acknowledged the efforts put in by L&T for accomplishing this vital power infrastructure within a very short period.

    Under the Restructured Accelerated Power Development & Reforms Program R-APDRP (Part-B) many gains are envisaged which includes system improvement, strengthening and augmentation of distribution system for bringing down AT&C Losses, improving consumers Supply and SCADA compatibility of Lucknow town. L&T scope of work covers an area of 360 Sq.m across 9 Circles involving construction of 8 Nos 33/11kV New Substations, 174 Km of 33 kV UG Cable, 165 Km of 11 kV Cables & Lines, 510 Nos New Distribution Transformers, Renovation & Modernization of Existing 80 Nos of 33/11kV Substations, Renovation & Modernization of Existing 559 Nos of 11/0.433 kV Distribution Substations, Replacement of 904 km of existing LT Lines by AB Cable, 104 Nos 11 kV Capacitor Banks, 1320 Nos of LT Capacitor Banks etc.
