L&T employees eagerly check out the umbrellas made by people with disabilities.
Employees of L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore support people with disabilities L&T Energy Hydrocarbon (LTEH) Offshore hosted a sale of umbrellas made by people with disabilities. The Nethra Umbrella exhibition-cum-sale was organised in collaboration with the National Association of Disabled’s Enterprises at AMN Tower, Powai, on 20 June and 1 July. The employees responded enthusiastically, buying 1,550 Nethra umbrellas (500 large, 700 medium and 350 compact), generating sales of `2,28,257 over the two days. This helps sustain nearly 150 people with disabilities who are engaged in manufacturing these durable, high-quality umbrellas. The initiative reaffirmed L&T’s commitment to creating opportunities that enable the disadvantaged to lead economically independent lives.
