Powai Hosts 5th Edition of Annual DMN Conclave
The 5th edition of the Annual Domestic Marketing Network (DMN) Conclave, the event where officers from L&T’s various branch and area offices gather to deliberate on key themes of operational and strategic importance was held at Powai.  The event, spread over three days from October 10 to 12, witnessed talks by senior L&T-ites including Mr. Yogi Sriram, Sr. VP - Corporate HR & Member of ECom, Mr. Arnob Mondal, VP - Corporate Accounts & Investor Relations, Mr. Prasad Shanbhag, Joint Company Secretary and Mr. Uday Deshpande, Chief Information Security Officer. These talks offered DMN representatives valuable insights in subjects such as the state of Indian infrastructure, the ever-changing business environment, corporate governance and cyber security.
 
The event also witnessed a session on customer centricity by Mr. Kasi Viswanath, Head - HO HR. Mr. Jay Upadhyay and Team HO HR gave insight on a new portal called ‘Hi Fives’ and functionalities in the updated Time & Attendance module.
 
Mr. S.N. Subrahmanyan, CEO & MD, participated in the Conclave on day 2 and complimented DMN for being flexible and adapting to the changing organizational needs and goals. In his inspiring address, he offered an overview of key business sectors emerging in the next few years and laid a special emphasis on service businesses offering greater potential in the years to come.
 
Mr. Subrahmanyan also handed over Awards to the Best Area and Branch offices, based on performances during FY 18 -19.
 
Mr. P.R. Kothari, Advisor to Group Chairman, CEO & MD, Corporate Strategy & Change Management, offered the attendees a perspective on the ongoing divestment of Electrical & Automation business, the procedures involved, the timelines and impact of the divestment on DMN operations. Mr. Anup Sahay, Head - Corporate Strategy & Special Initiatives, provided an overview on Lakshya Initiatives, Perspective Plan 2026 and objectives of L&T-NxT. In his closing remarks, Mr. Sahay urged DMN staffers to continue the good work and front-end various businesses to partner in their success.
 
Mr. J.S. Gill, Head – DMN and participants from various Area and Branch offices, highlighted the significant contributions made by DMN in carrying out Business, Networking and CSR activities during the last year. Mr. Gill emphasized the importance of greater networking with bureaucracy at regional level and urged DMN to explore every opportunity to support various BUs.
 
Senior Management from various businesses including Mr. D Keshava Kumar, Head - LTCEL, Mr. Partha Mukherjee, Head - MEB, Mr. S Ranganathan, VP and Head - WES, L&T Defence, Mr. Gulab Moorjani, Head - ESP Agri Sales, Mr. Sanjay Roy, Head - ESE Project Systems and Mr. Rahul Bhardwaj, Solar BU, provided insights into respective business portfolio and outlined expectations from DMN offices in enhancing opportunities at respective regions.
 
While Mr. Sanjay Hindlekar, Head - Corporate Indirect Taxation and Mr. M.S. Pradeep, Corporate Legal, advocated the importance of statutory and legal compliances respectively, Ms. Mabel Abraham from Corporate CSR highlighted the importance of L&T’s CSR efforts across the country and their impact on the nation’s social infrastructure.
 
The Conclave ended on October 12, 2019, with mid-term reviews of all 20 DMN offices and identification of a roadmap of activities and focus areas for H2 of FY20.
