COMPANY OF THE YEAR

Noted business daily, Business Standard, named L&T as the ‘Company of the Year’ for 2019. The announcement came in February as part of BS’ ‘Corporate Excellence Awards 2019’ with high-profile business magnates playing the role of the jury.

This apart, the group company LTI was ranked 4th on BS’ Financial Sustainability Index. These rankings are awarded on key parameters such as a company’s revenue, net profit, net worth and total assets. The recognition serves as a testimony to L&T Group’s ever strengthening position as an industry leader.

L&T'S TALE IN HBR

In February, the prestigious Harvard Business Review published an article co-authored by Mr S N Subrahmanyan, L&T CEO & MD, and Mr Sanjay Jalona, the CEO & MD of the group company Larsen & Toubro Infotech.

The article, Building a Data-Driven Culture from the Ground Up, offers interesting insights into how L&T is leveraging the power of data technology in the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) industry and is embedding a data-driven mindset in the workforce to position L&T as the leader in “digital construction.” To read the article visit https://bit.ly/2Z2vbRj

GOLDEN PEACOCK

Water and Effluent Treatment (WET) business of L&T has bagged the prestigious Golden Peacock HR Excellence Award for the year 2019. The coveted award is conferred by the Institute of Directors (IOD) - India, an apex association of directors in corporate governance. IOD presented the award to L&T at its 14th International Conference in Mumbai on 4 March.

Mr S Ramkishore, Head – HR, WET business, and his team received the award from Justice Cyriac Joseph, Lok Ayukta – Kerala and former judge - Supreme Court of India. Mr G M Rao, founder & group chairman of GMR Group, and Lt Gen (Retd.) J S Ahluwalia, PVSM and president of IOD, were present.

The Golden Peacock Award recognises significant initiatives undertaken by corporate organisations in the sphere of HR practices, creation of new HR benchmarks and fostering a value driven business aligned with high performance culture. The winners are selected through an internationally recognised meticulous, transparent, impartial selection criteria and an elaborate, independent three-layer assessment process.

SWEDISH SUCCESS

In March, UK-based noted IT magazine, Computer Weekly, published a feature story on how LTI is managing a successful outsourcing project for Hoist, a Swedish financial services firm. The feature, Nordic lessons on digital transformation, elaborates that Hoist chose LTI due to strategic alignment, commercial value, security, experience of digitisation of companies in the financial industry, and the unflinching focus on delivery.

CRISIL THUMBS UP

Noted credit rating agency, CRISIL, has upgraded LTI’s long-term rating from AA+/Positive to AAA/Stable. The rating reflects LTI’s market position, strong financial risk profile marked by a debt-free balance sheet, healthy cash generating ability and robust liquidity.

LTI has been recognised as the Industry Innovation Partner of the Year at 2020 SAP® Pinnacle Awards. This award is in recognition of LTI’s best-in-class industry solutions that complement the industry portfolio from SAP.

KUDOS for LTI

Larsen & Toubro Infotech (LTI) has been recognised as the leader in the latest Talent Readiness Index announced by Everest Group. This is in recognition of LTI’s Next Generation Data Services that outscored other contenders by way of comprehensive data services capabilities.

DALAL STREET

LTI has been ranked 8th in the latest Super 50 rankings by Dalal Street Investment Journal. The rankings encompass companies having Rs 10,000-crore or more market capitalisation. LTI achieved the recognition based on the parameters of growth, efficiency, safety and wealth creation.
