Behind L&T's Hi-Tech Fame
Starting off in 1938 primarily as a brick-and-mortar entity, L&T has over the decades metamorphosed into a globally recognised hi-tech EPC, manufacturing and services conglomerate.
Apart from the technological innovations that it has incorporated into conventional construction and manufacturing practices, L&T has reached the hi-tech echelons largely due to its R&D prowess in the engineering and technology space. And L&T Technology Services (LTTS) is the entity that has given a global expression to this prowess.
The cover story narrates the fascinating journey of LTTS’s coming of age, and gives a peek into its high-tech prowess. No matter where on earth you live, chances are LTTS has touched your life in one way or the other – and that’s what makes the story even more interesting.
People have always been L&T’s prime assets. L&T’s efforts at creating a workplace that brings out the best in its people have been recently recognised by the Great Place to Work Institute. In an interview, Head of L&T’s Corporate HR Dr C Jayakumar talks about several new initiatives for the employees.
