Shaping the Future
Shaping the Future
ACROSS the years, L&T’s growth has been spearheaded by several dynamics. One of the most vital is planning. Our cover story focuses on L&T’s latest structured planning initiative – Lakshya 2026 – that has set five-year targets to take the conglomerate to new heights. The story will give you an idea about the future that L&T is shaping for itself.

It was last year that L&T announced its target to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040. A step in this direction is a range of biodiesel-compatible construction and mining equipment that an L&T principal has recently launched. Then, at several project sites, L&T is recycling and reusing plastic, preventing it from entering the fragile ecosystem.

Helping the underprivileged aids the nation’s progress. L&T Financial Services is using digitisation to enhance thousands of rural and urban lives through its inclusive credit mechanism, which has been featured by nothing less than the Economist Impact.

Thanks to technology, defence equipment is now more effective. L&T proves this once more by developing a crucial detect-and-defeat system christened Sudarshan.

All these and much more have been captured in various articles featured in this issue of News & Views. Please do read and share your valued feedback.
