LTTS wins a coveted award for its rural-focussed CSR initiative

Doesn’t it feel great when good deeds get recognised, more so when the one been recognised is your own! L&T Technology Services (LTTS) has recently been conferred the CSR Times Award for a multifaceted mother-and-childcare initiative that it runs in a tribal block of Maharashtra.

Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant handed over the award to LTTS’s Head CSR Prabhakaran KN at the 11th edition of the CSR Times’ National CSR Summit hosted in Goa on 23 August.

The mother-and-childcare initiative that LTTS runs pertains to the Melghat tribal block in Maharashtra’s Amravati district.

Named Sampoorna Poshan (complete nutrition), the programme ensures maternal health through doorstep assessments of weight and blood pressure on a weekly basis, provides therapeutic food and family counseling for safe births at hospitals.

Subsequent to this, new mothers receive a comprehensive post-delivery baby kit, aimed at reducing infant mortality and malnutrition. The programme also ensures monitoring the child health and necessary treatment by trained village health workers, including crucial interventions for common illnesses and provision for locally-sourced therapeutic food.

The CSR Times Award is a fitting recognition to LTTS’s commitment to social responsibility and community welfare.
