    Madhya Pradesh CM Inaugurates Pithampur Industrial Area Water Supply Scheme
    The 90 MLD Raw Water Pump House tapping water from the Narmada Kshipra Link for Pithampur Industrial Region was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Kamal Nath on October 17, 2019. On the occasion, the CM was accompanied by a number of senior government officials and dignitaries invited especially for the event. Mr. Nagendra Singh, Project Manager, L&T, too attended the inauguration ceremony along with the members from his team.
     
    The top management of Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) extended its appreciation to the L&T project team for its swift execution and commissioning of the project within the scheduled time frame while still maintaining the highest standards of quality & safety.
     
    Work on the project began in 2017 with STUP Consultants, New Delhi as PMSC and DMIC-Pithampur Jal Prabandhan Limited (SPV of DMIDC and MPIDC) as Project Owner. The main components of the project include 90 MLD Raw Water Pump House, 60 MLD Water Treatment Plant, 114 km of MS & DI Pipeline, 2 Over Head Tanks and 2 Ground Level Sumps. The project was commissioned and tested during the summer of 2019 having successfully supplied water to the industries in Pithampur and surrounding areas.

    Anil Mehta Appointed Vice President of Corporate Taxation
    Mr. Anil K Mehta has been appointed the Vice President, Corporate Taxation, L&T. In his new role, Mr. Mehta will assume the responsibility for the Corporate Indirect Tax function at the Group level besides the Corporate Direct Tax function which he already heads.
     
    With systems and processes to stabilise the transition to GST regime, BEPS, transfer pricing, legacy litigation and digitalisation of tax function as his key focus areas, Mr. Mehta plans to develop the tax team to further elevate the function into a vibrant set up that adds increased value. Mr. Mehta will continue to report to Mr. Y.V.S. Sravankumar, Executive Vice President, Accounts & Taxation.
